If you’re familiar with Loungefly, you’ll know our iconic mini backpack silhouette. As we continue to innovate and expand our range of products, we introduced the Crossbuddies bag! A new crossbody bag that is really special and stands out from the rest.

This bag came about as our SVP of Creative, Innovation, and Vision, Derrick Baca, thought of the term “crossbuddy” but wasn’t entirely sure what to do with it. Our amazing Design team from Product Development stepped in – they’re the ones who are in charge of creating all of the silhouettes you love and using the best materials possible when constructing our bags. 

They figured out a way to uplevel our existing crossbody concepts and make something entirely unique – a cosplay character holding their buddy on the front pocket. But it didn’t end there! As many characters have multiple buddies, they landed on the idea to make the front pocket removable and reversible so that you can switch up the style and customize the look to whatever you want that day. 

Crossbuddies are more customizable than our other crossbody bags and pave the way for new looks and styles in crossbody territory – in which there weren’t a lot of other unique options, aside from our figural crossbody bags or our convertible book bags. There is a standard silhouette for a Crossbuddies bag that makes it perfect for any character, while there isn’t the same flexibility in our figural bags. 

With our recent launch of our WALL-E Date Night Collection, there was a perfect opportunity for another Crossbuddies bag! EVE is our latest addition to the Crossbuddies collection. She appears on the front of the bag and her arms wrap around to the front to hold a coin pouch. Slip her arms out of the loops to reverse the coin pouch – you have the option of either WALL-E’s plant or a lightbulb! And be sure to take her out after dark because her eyes glow!
