Introducing Pre-Authorization at Loungefly (Important Info!)

We’re introducing a new process for some of our special Loungefly launches. We know the process can be super stressful waiting for the website to refresh the moment certain special products launch so you can shop your favorites. 

To make that process less stressful and give everyone a fair chance to shop these special drops, such as our con exclusives, we’re introducing Pre-Authorization! 

Pre-authorization gives you an opportunity to put in your credit card info for the item you want to enter for a chance to purchase that item. It lets everyone have a fair chance to shop special drops, like con exclusives, without the day-of stress. 

A pre-authorization window will open for a few days for select special items. Go to the item you want on site, hit “Enter Now” and you’ll be taken to a page that is similar to our checkout page. You will enter your credit card information for the item you want, and a hold charge for that item will be added to your credit card. 

This must be done individually for each item you want to purchase. The charge will only go through if you are randomly selected as a winner for that item. If you are not selected as a winner to shop that item, the hold will drop and you won’t be charged. 

If you win, you will receive an email confirming your item has shipped and you’ll be charged on the card you used for pre-authorization. You'll only receive an email if you are a winner.

Pre-authorization helps mitigate the stress of shopping at launch timing for the special products you want and ensures that they get into the hands of real fans. Instead of having to ensure you have all your credit card info ready to go on launch day, all of your info will already be on file and ready to go if you’re selected as a winner for the accessory you want. 

If there is inventory left of an item after the pre-authorization period, the rest will launch on site for purchase after the pre-authorization window closes and after winners have been notified.
