Behind the Bag: Loungefly Nightmare Before Christmas Mayor Accessories

“The Nightmare before Christmas is one of my favorite movies and I have always been inspired by Tim Burton’s art. This has been my favorite collection to design. 

“The team wanted to focus on the Mayor, and we came up with many great ideas that made this collection truly unique and special. During the conceptualization process, I envisioned every piece to have an animated feel. 

“For the Mayor’s Car, I wanted to capture all the whimsical details from the movie. The front window features a lenticular image that changes from his happy to sad look.

"The entire front hood is molded metal and includes the screeching cat figurine and LED jack-o'-lantern headlights. The wheels spin and there are molded metal railings and an applique megaphone on the roof. 

“The Mayor's Spinning Head Crossbody is one of a kind. It is shaped to match his conical head, and his face actually spins, so you can change his expression from his colorful happy smile to his dramatic and pale despair.

"For the lower section, I included details of his outfit and, of course, the iconic Mayor’s badge to complete his look.  

“Our Product Development team always does an outstanding job ensuring every detail from our concepts are executed to perfection in the final product. I’m so happy to see this collection out and hope everyone loves it as much as we do!”
